I spotted this scene while walking around the public beach access near The Crab Trap in Destin. Someone had kicked off their sandals at the top of the boardwalk, and I loved how they looked sitting there with the path, sea oats and Gulf in the background.
I snapped a quick reference photo for later, then wandered over to a pavilion to paint something completely different. I came back to this one a few days later while I was going through a slight sea-oat-painting hyperfixation, and it ended up becoming one of my favorite little snapshots of the Emerald Coast.
