I went on an Alaskan cruise in May 2026 and pretty much fell in love with everything about it. While we were in Sitka, a local man told us how lucky we were to have such a clear view of the mountains in the distance, as it allegedly only happens around six days a year.
I used one of my photos from that day as the main reference, then added a tiny fisherman to the rocks and a boat from another photo I took during the day. I basically combined a few of my favorite Alaska memories into one painting and made myself the perfect little souvenir that I love looking at.
