I’ve always loved 30A's iconic Seaside Town Center Pavilion, so I snapped a photo of it the same morning I sat down to paint Pickle’s. I loved its shape, but the giant pickle sign won my attention that day. Obviously.
A few weeks later, I brought my watercolors to the picnic area near The Crab Trap in Destin and finally painted a quick little version of the Seaside scene I’d been thinking about. It was HOT, y’all. By the end, my biggest motivation was getting out of the heat and treating myself to chips and Whole Foods guac afterward.
