The pavilions have picnic tables that are perfect for dragging out all my watercolor supplies and painting my surroundings, or whatever else strikes my fancy that day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn September 2020, Hurricane Sally rolled into the Gulf, knocked out power and destroyed the waterfront walkways at The Landing downtown. It also sank the boat pictured here, which has been sitting in the waterway leaning to one side ever since.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOddly enough, that same hurricane is also the reason I met my partner. The day before it hit, I was out watching the surfers at the pier when we met.
